CAMPER JACK RETROFIT KIT

The Retrofit Kit is designed for use with Atwood

Electric Ball Screw Camper Jacks that have replaced

manual camper jacks.

REFER TO MPD 87903

FOR COMPLETE JACK INSTRTUCTIONS.

Position the camper on the truck and fully retract the

manual jacks. Remove the manual camper jacks.

INSTALLATION

1. Determine the placement of the electrical connectors

provided in the kit on the front and rear of the camper

as shown in

FIG 1. For remote controlled electric

camper jacks, install 2-wire connectors at all four

corners. For non-remote controlled electric camper

jacks, install the 4-wire connectors on the driver side of

the camper and the 2-wire connectors on the

passenger side. Mount the connectors within 5” from

the edge of the camper (see FIG 1-A).

2. Install the jacks per instructions in MPD 87903. For

remote controlled jacks, install one jack at each corner.

For non-remote controlled electric jacks, place the

jacks with switches on the driver side of the camper

and the jacks without switches on the passenger side.

3. Make electrical connections in 30 amp circuits with

fuses located within 18” of the battery. Use 10 gauge

stranded copper wire. Wiring must meet applicable

RVIA codes per ANSI A 119.2, NFPA 1192.

a. For remote controlled jacks, make the connections

in individual circuits. Refer to FIG 4.

b. For non-remote controlled electric camper jacks,

make the connections in two separate circuits,

one for the front jacks and one for the rear jacks.

Refer to FIG 2.

4. To use the manual override handle, push the handle (FIG

3-A) into the jack alignment tube (FIG 3-B) and engage

the drive pin. Rotate the handle counterclockwise to

raise the camper (extend the jack) or clockwise to

lower the camper (retract the jack).
